Open meeting by Zoom on Thursday 25th November 2021 : everyone is welcome to attend this.

As the February SDDR election was unable to occur because of lockdown and other restrictions, there was not an AGM in February 2021. A public meeting by Zoom was held in March 2021 which was well attended and allowed the Conservators to share their plans and to update the public and answer some of your questions.

The Conservators have now set up a second open/public Zoom meeting where you will be able to find out more about what has happened over the last few months and also we can share details of the December 2021 election for a new Conservator.

If you are new to Zoom registrations – or you would like some more information on how this works – then the following may be of interest to you.

(1) The meeting will be by Zoom on Thursday 25th November starting at 7pm and lasting up to 1 hour. You do not need to register to use Zoom or upload it (you will be sent by Zoom some log in details which will include a webpage link which will work on any suitable device).

(2) The meeting will be recorded so that it can be shared later for people who may be unable to attend – when you register you will confirm you are aware of this. However the Zoom meeting is set up so that when you join your camera will be off and your microphone will be muted.

(3) Registration is done via the link above or below (they are the same).

(4) There will be a box where you can send in a question in advance of the meeting if you wish ; otherwise you may leave that box blank. There may not be time for all questions to be answered. We will seek to group questions together so as to be able to answer as many as time permits.

(5) When you send in your registration (and question) you will receive an email – sent by Zoom automatically – to confirm that your request has been sent in.

(6) Then you will later receive a second email with the zoom meeting log in details. The Zoom meeting log in details may take a few hours to arrive so please do just keep an eye out for it later that day or the following.

(7) If at any time you think you have registered but either cannot find the second email with the Zoom meeting details or if you need these resent for any reason then do please email clerk@therfieldheath.org.uk. Please note that the clerk works part time and so there may be a slight delay in getting a response to you.

So in summary :-

  • Register for the meeting using the link
  • After registering, you will receive a confirmation email which is sent automatically by Zoom to the email address you have given.
  • The email you need to look out for – and retain – is the second email with the meeting details.
  • If there are any questions or concerns contact the clerk direct who will assist.

There has been one application only for the one position vacant and therefore this election is uncontested.

Because this election is now uncontested a public vote will not be required. However everyone is invited to the public meeting on 25th November the details for which are above.
